QotD: Time

If you track this the first time you read it, you got me by about three tries. It's worth thinking about, though, especially regarding the God who created time.
"The mind observes a present through which what is not yet runs into what is no longer."
Augustine

I like that...but it took me about 3 re-reads. :)

Bizarre. Oddly enough, I was just thinking about time today. I realized while ordering a bean burrito from Taco Bell that since it takes light at least a couple nanoseconds to get translated into sight, and it takes our brain at least a couple nanoseconds more to register what we're seeing and hearing, we never actually live in the present. Our entire lives are lived reflecting on what has just transpired. Perhaps this won't matter to anyone else, but I was kinda weirded out by it.
